Amélie
This film is being screened to celebrate 20 years of the club, it was the first film ever shown at the Maldon Film club in in 2005. As a child, Amélie (Audrey Tatou), with little real-life contact with other people, resorts to her own fantastical world and dreams of love and beauty. As a young waitress in Paris, she is so impressed by the reaction to a selfless act that she decides to devote her life to the people around her. Little by little, Amélie realizes that the way to happiness and love requires her to take her own initiative and reach out to others.
