Set in the 1970s and based on the memoirs of  Liverpudlian Peter Turner (Jamie Bell) this is his love story with ageing Hollywood star Gloria Grahame (Annette Bening). What starts as a vibrant affair between a legendary femme fatale and her young lover quickly grows into a
deeper relationship, with Turner being the person Gloria turns to for comfort when faced with events beyond her control.
